we bought this dryer from a private seller hooked it up washer works fine put cloths in the dryer and it is not drying i decided to run it with out cloths in it and it gets really hot. i'm confused also i noticed that on the inside of the dryer at the top were you open the door {not the very to the top of the door} there is a cut out that is about 2" x 3" so i don't know if there should be something there or if it is suppose to be an open hole we have looked up the manuel but it doesn't show the hole or anything that might go in that area.

Hello sgomez61. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
