have a LG WM3370HWA washer, worked perfect - just moved to new laundry room and hookup supplies, machine not pulling cold water in - get a hum hum sound asking for cold water (if hot not attached), machine pulls hot water in for cold use if hot is attached - disconnected hot and tried to attach y connector hot and cold to cold side got hum hum. Any help much appreciated

Hi.
It's not clear from what you are describing how did you connect the the hoses. Do you connect the cold water faucet to the cold water valve and hot water faucet to the hot water valve at the washer? Did you check if water comes out of the hoses before you attached them to the washer? You may have a bad faucet or bad inlet hose. Please, let me know what have you find out.
Thank you,
Simon.

I had the same problem with my washer only getting hot water, no cold. My hose setup had not changed so I opened the housing to check the water inlet valve and found out that the cold water solenoid had somehow overheated and the plastic melted on one side of it. I ordered a new part from ******** for under 25 dollars. I installed it and reconnected the wire and hoses and now have cold water again. I think we had a power surge that killed it because I also had to replace the timer, but it works now!

Hi. It sounds like you have a bad cold water inlet valve that should be replaced. Inlet valve Part number: 5221ER1003A
Good luck. Please keep us posted with the results. Thank you, Simon.
