My GE washer will not dispense any cold water. I verified that I have good water pressure at the unit, checked intake screens and tested the fill valve with an ohm meter, which tested out fine. I them put a multimeter on the leads going to the fill valve and moved the selector to hot and cold. I found 120V on the hot leads and only 12v on the cold leads. I have found conflicting information at this point. Some sources lead me to believe that the motor board could be the problem (which seems logical to me), and another source believes that it is the wash timer that is failing. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Hi. Unplug the washer, remove the top, locate the temperature switch behind the control panel, with the switch set for C/C install the jumper wire between contacts 1-5 of the above mentioned switch. Plug the unit in and start. If the cold water stars getting in - replace the temperature selector switch Part number: WH12X10057
