My dryer heats some of the time and does not heat at others. I have noticed that this seems to happen when I am using the setting that requires the moisture sensor. It seems that I can turn the timer knob and the moisture sensor will flash on and off. If I use the timed drying setting, everything seems to heat ok.
Does this sound like I need to replace the moisture sensor?

I would check the vent to the outside, and make sure you get a good strong air flow. Clean the vent hose in the back. Also if you guy's use dryer sheets, like bounce, you might want to clean the sensor, with an alchohol solution. Some times there is a build up on the sensor, and it does not sence properly.
