My dryer worked fine in the morning....tried to use it by the evening...wouldn't start. Interior light comes on; I can hear the start switch trying to "communicate" to the timer control; the belt around the drum is fine; and the heating coil appears to be intact.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FSE447GHS0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...df/Webster/131911100.pdfCheck the thermal limiter (Item 36 in Section 02). It should be 0 ohms. Be sure to unplug the unit when doing this. If it is blown also check/clean your vent system as that is the most common cause of it blowing. Would also be good idea to check the heating element. Unplug the unit and both wires at the heating element. Measure the across the element, should be around 12 ohms. Then measure from each side of the element to the heater case. Both should be infinite ohms. If not the element is grounded and should be replaced. |
