Hi Gene,
My whirlpool model number is ED5FVGXSSOO . My problem is when the arm is left down water floods my freezer. It does not make it in to the ice maker at all. I can see that the water freezes in the line going to my ice maker and then floods my freezer. I end up with a frozen waterfall in the back of my freezer.
I am able to get cold water through the door.
Thanks for taking the time to help everyone!
Aloha,
Jane

Hello Jane, Thank you for your good words. Most likely the problem with your refrigerator is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the fridge. I also would recommend to make sure that the water feeding tube into the ice maker is not misplaced. - The water inlet valve Part number: W10408179

My Ice won't come through the little door either. It builds up in the freezer door. Help?

Remove the dispenser panel and check the solenoid and air gate parts.
