The warning hot light will not go out at all on the small burner on the left rear.

Here are the parts. Be sure to specify which burner is gone if you order from them.
Replacement parts for KENMORE 66595022100 | AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Sounds like the normally open side of the limiter on the element is shorted.

Yes that would be my guess.
Often when contacts go the start by pitting and eventually weld themselves together permanently.
Odds are that it will happen again, but you can never tell so perhaps the problem will never reappear.
I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks again for your help. Is this switch built into the glass top burners or is it separate. I've had to replace a couple of the burner control Switches a couple years ago.

I believe it is built into the element assembly.

Can the element be purchased separate from the glass top, I hope. Is it easy to change. Parts are expensive, almost time for a new stove.

Yes the elements can be purchased separately.
Installing them does take some time but is not that difficult once you figure out how to raise the oven to.
Just be sure to unplug the unit when working on it.
240 volts is lethal!!!

The unit is actually made by Whirlpool.
Here is a link to a site with lots of appliance manuals.
Download Manager - ApplianceDigest.com
You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

I do not have a Sears to Whirlpool cross reference so cannot be sure the following matches your unit.
That is why I gave the above link to the site. You may be able to figure out which manual matches you unit.

Here is the manual which I think may be close.
