While cooking something in the oven (at 400 degrees), the circuit breaker for the range "tripped." I went to the electric panel and reset the breaker. Within about 3 minutes, breaker tripped again. I reset again. This time, the breaker did not trip. But...no heating in the oven, I hit the "clear," (off) button. With oven now completely cool, I tried to heat the oven. I hit the "Bake" button. Set temp at 350 degrees...number 100 appears, a brief buzzing noise heard coming from the "console." Both top and bottom heating element remain cold. What to do? BTW, oven light works, and stove top elements work normally.

I went to the Sears parts site but your model number does not come up.
Please check it.

Sounds like the control board is shot.
This is probably the control/timer board. I cannot say for sure until I find info on the unit.
If the board has large (Usually black) relays on it then it directly controls the elements.

Also some units have a thermal fuse/cut-off/circuit breaker in the wiring going to the oven elements. Again I need info to be able to check this out.

About a year ago, I needed to replace the lower (bake) element in the oven. At that time, the same thing happened regarding the model number. I have checked, and double-checked the number. I am submitting the number found on the "panel" on the unit. AppliancePartsPros found an element for me. Thanks for your prompt reply!

Sorry but I cannot be of much help to you.

I do not work for AppliancePartsPros so I do not have access or the expertise like the parts representatives.

You could unplug the unit and remove it's rear panel.
If it has a thermal cut-off (fuse) it will have wires going to the elements. It will be attached to the back wall of the oven.

IF there is not one then check the wires that go up to the control panel/timer.
If they are OK and these are the wires from the elements then I would say that the control board is toast.

With luck a parts rep may be able to help you find a replacement.
