I purchased a defrost thermostat and it has more wires than my existing defrost thermostat. How do I overcome this?

Seems like a heated thermostat for a dryer!! All defrost thermostats just have two wires. Post a part # for this please.

Why do you guys refuse to recognise industry standard part numbers? You only use your own internal part numbers. Geeze, let's help these people here.

That part number is a common Amana (I.E. Maytag, I.E. Whirlpool) part number for a thermostat and harness assembly.

What you need to do is eliminate all wires other than the two coming out of the thermostat housing. Simply wire your new thermostat wire for wire using just the two wires coming out of the thermostat housing and eliminating the rest.
