I am replacing dual coil type defrost heater,one of the coils on old one burnt out from moisture getting in coil tube.
The new replacement defrost heater has harness with a defrost thermostat rated at 60-28F.
The 20 year old thermostat is rated at 60-32F.
Will the new thermostat included in new defrost heater harness cause a problem being it is rated 4 degrees lower than old one?
I bought a new defrost thermostat before,thinking just thermostat was bad it is rated at 60-32F.
Should I wire new thermostat rated 60-32F into new defrost heater harness?
Instead of using the new 60-28F one?

Is the other thermostat a substitution from the manufacturer? If it is, I would not think it is a problem. Also, although I am not a HVAC expert, I can tell you that the thermostat has "nothing" do do with the direct functionality of the heater. The thermostat works with the defrost board or defrost timer.
