this dryer is killing me need help. dryer heat comes on with setting control knob but the drum will not spin :confused: is this a door switch issue and can i bypass it just to see if this is the problem

Heat should not come on unless motor is running so either the motor switch is bad or the heat element is grounded. Does the motor make any noise at all when you try to start the dryer? Unplug dryer, turn timer to normal heat cycle, check continuity between the two flat blades on the power cord plug. If you read through the heat element, about 10-12 ohms, then the motor switch is bad and motor must be replaced.
