My refigerator is leaking from the freezer into the fridge below. This is not a constant leak but periodically happens and eventually water builds up on the bottom of the fridge. I can sometimes see the water dripping and I noticed one time it was coming out quite a lot from the feezer and then eventually stopped. The vents are clear.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken, The cause of this problem is a frozen drain in the freezer. Remove the freezer floor and the rear panel. The drain hole is under the evaporator coil on the back of the freezer. You can use a hair dryer do defrost it. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model ET8CHKXKB02Gene.

Thanks Gene.
I am not much of a handyman. Would you advise bringing in a repairman to do this? It looks like it may be complicated to take apart after looking at your diagrams.
Thanks again,
Ken

Of course you can but be careful and do not let them to rip you off. This job should not be very expensive.
Gene.
