Dryer makes squealing noise every time used. Noise is intermittent. Diagnosis please. Do you have recommended website for part and installation instruction? What is normal life of washer/dryer? At 13 years am I better off replacing vs repair? Thank you in advance.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for FSE7477GES0 models | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a manual which should help with the repair. http://frigidaireservicetips.com/pdfs/488_3.pdfWhether is is worth repairing depends on what is wrong with it, may just need some grease on the drum bearing. New units are usually not built as good as the old ones. Squeak could be a number of things. Listen carefully to see if you can get an idea of where it is originating. Could be the motor bearings, the idler pulley, the front glides or the rear drum bearing. Most common is the rear bearing. Open the unit up and check parts for wear and slop. Also check the belt. Replace as necessary. Also check all internal seals. Might as well give it an overhaul. When re-lubing the rear bearing be sure to use a high temp grease. Give the interior a good clean including the blower wheel. Also clean/check your vent system. Here is a good site with general dryer repair info. http://www.applianceaid.com/dryers.html |
