I Have A Maytag Centennial Washer Model Mvwc360awo. When It Is Time To Spin The Clothes The Basket Does Not Spin, But The Aggitator At The Bottom Does , Causing The Wet Clothes To Ball Up To One Side. I Know This Because I Took The Lid Off And Duck Taped The Top Lid Switch To The Bottom So I Can Watch What Is Happening While It Washes. Also When The Basket Does Move By The Clothes Rubbing It When The Aggitator Balls Up The Clothes Or By Moving It By Hand It Makes A Loud Skweaky Noise But Moves Freely Both Ways. Thanks For Any And All Help

I suspect you need to replace the actuator (shifter). Confirm by running a diagnostic test and looking at the error codes. The tech data sheet which will guide you through the diag sequence is located inside the front panel in a ziplock bag.
