Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/23/2015(UTC) Posts: 2		Have a Maytag A412 washer that does not agitate. It spins and drains properly. During agitation phase, the transmission belt is spinning in one direction but the agitator (motor) belt does not move. Starts to burn. Belts appear to be worn. First question is: does the agitator only go in one direction, or does it go back and forth? Is it just a worn belt problem? I can move the agitator by hand in either direction from inside the tub.
