Washer will not agitate or spin after tub fills but it make this awful loud noise coming from around the motor. any ideas?

Check out the coupling. On the way in check to see that nothing is stuck in the pump (sock anyone?) This site will show you how.

Thank you so much sid. It was the coupler and you tube was a great help as well. I was going to take off the whole back until I saw the video. $15 and back washing again.
