Ok so I'm new to the washing machine forum world. Didn't even know such a forum existed lol. I have read some similar issues like mine on this forum but none of the machines look quite like mine. I think mine is a bit older. I've been looking for inline fuses on my wires and can't seem to find them. My motor isn't turning on therefore my machine is not spinning or agitating. Please help:confused:

No fuses on this model. No noise at all from the motor? Timer advances on it's own through the cycle? Check your lid switch. Bad lid switch = no motor function.

I appreciate the quick reply. And yes I was chatting with one of the pros and they told me there was a relay.. I located the relay but there are so many pins on it I didn't know on which one to check for continuity. And how do I test this lid switch motor?

Well, you didn't answer either of my questions. Is there any noise at all (humming) from the motor when it should be running? Does the timer advance on it's own normally? The relay is for selecting the proper start/run winding depending on speed selection. To test the lid switch, you need to unplug the lid switch connector and check continuity on the lid switch while holding the lid magnet against it.

You will need to replace the switch. You can jump out the switch to temporarily operate the machine. You would need a piece of 16 gauge wire that fits tightly into the harness connector as this wiring carries full motor current during normal operation.

Yes, it's only a 2-pin connector. Jump the two pins together. That's the wiring harness receptacle, not the connector on the end of the lid switch :) Believe me, people have done that before.

You can just cut the plug off the lid switch wires leaving a couple inches so you can strip the wires, twist them together good, and tape them or wirenut them and plug that jumped connector into the harness receptacle.

This is only for temporary use, as it's a safety issue. Make sure no youngsters can get near the washer while it's running this way til you get that switch replaced.
