Dryer would not start immediately for the past month and will not start at all now.

If it had a hard time starting 1st I would say your motor was overheated and probably cause by a build up of lint inside cabinet... Depending on age motor replacement may cost more than worth

Hi Johndym, - The part number for the motor is AP3094245 Your decision whether to fix or buy a new dryer should be based on the condition of the unit. Replacing the motor could make the old dryer last a few more years and save you some money. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model LXI7801W0Gene.
