This dryer blows air but not hot air. I purchased a heating element which looks like a long spring. My question is how do you replace it? I cant find any way to get the back off. Does it come off? Please tell me how to replace the heat element. Thank you!

You get at this model from the front, but you first take off the small back service panel and release the belt from the pulley.
You then insert a screw driver in the gap between the top and the front near the edges to release the clips that hold the top on. It will flip up, allowing you to take out the screws that hold the front panel on. The drum will now lift out allowing you to get to the heating element.
You should know a couple of things.
1. It may not be the heating element that is your problem. Test it for continuity with a meter, and also test the thermostats which are just as likely your problem.
2. I would change out the rear bearing since it tends to fail on these machines.
3. You should thoroughly clean the inside, particularly the internal vent in the door and the machine itself.
4. If your belt looks worn, replace it too.
Good luck!
