How do I test the main board to see if it is bad. I have power to it. A new board cost $140 so I want to make sure the old one is bad before I buy a new one---Jim---

If it is just dead, you might have a blown thermal fuse, a white plastic part that plugs into the control board.

I assumed the control module did nothing, power to it and no function, is this correct?

So you measured voltage on the board side of the fuse, right.

There is no other item that will cause the board not to work, except a missing power ground. If you measure voltage to the board and the other lead to power ground on the board, usually a white wire= new board time.
