having issue with ice maker. when cam gear is removed and shaft is turned manually the water is dispensed to ice maker and all seems ok. when putting cam gear back on ice maker does not work every 7 minutes or at all. is it on a timer or other switch in circuit?

Hi.

If the temperature in the freezer close to 0*F then you need a new icemaker. Please provide the complete model number of the unit.
