This dishwasher washed dishes great when it was new, but has gradually gone downhill. I've tried different soaps (Cascade Complete with Bleach worked for a while, then we tried the pellets with the blue center, then electrosol powder with jetdry agent), different settings (now it won't clean even on pots & pans setting with hi-temp wash & sani rinse). I've taken the spray arms off to check for clogs, taken the drain assembly out, run the hot water at the sink before starting a load, moved all dishes away from the soap door, even stopped the cycle when the soap door opens to pour boiling water in, to make sure the soap gets dissolved. It drains, it gets the water hot (120 or 140 degrees, can't really remember), but I think it won't spray as hard as it used to. There's a filter underneath that I cleaned out, but it's an inlet filter and it's filling up/draining just fine. I've even washed the dishes, put just a few in the dishwasher (covered with soap suds), then when I run it through a cycle (even "quick rinse") there's still soap on the dishes. Once my wife noticed a small hair on top of a glass; seems like the water should have knocked that off.
Does the pump wear out over time? It's still a pretty new dishwasher; I hate to just get a new one every 2 years. Or is this typical of Kenmore, and if so, what's a good replacement?
Thanks
