I'm new to tackling appliance problems on my own but I did recently replace the door handle on this unit so I'm inspired. The top rack is not cleaning the dishes -- though some areas are cleaner than others. I've seen suggestions to check the food chopper and adjacent screen, but not sure how to reach that section. Any suggestions for step-by-step instructions?

I cannot find any info on the given model number, please check it.
Check that the holes in the upper spray arm/s are clear. If the unit has a wash arm under the top rack, check that it seals properly to the rear water supply tube. Check that the uppers arms spin easily.
Often this is due to a low fill. After each unit fill add a couple quarts of hot water. Just be careful to not overfill he unit, most units fill to just under the heating element. Now if it washes OK then odds are that low fill is the problem. I would check the screen filter on the input side of the water valve for a partial plug. If dirty clean it. Do not permanently remove it from the valve as it is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood. If the screen is clean I would replace the valve. |
