You may also need to check the water level switch to make sure you have a closed circuit when the tub is empty. If the wig wag solenoid doesn't activate, and shift the levers, don't engage, the unit won't spin, Most of the time , the problem is due to a broken wire to the solenoid(s), that's where I'd start first. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Joe - can you tell me, the solenoid you've mentioned, am I looking under the machine or behind the control panel?
Thanks,
Ron

Thanks,
Ron Ron, Your best bet and easiest access, is to slide the washer out, to get in back of it and remove the rear access panel, When you look inside in the gearcase/transmission area, it'll be mounted on a shaft on the top side of the gearcase, you can't miss it. It'll have two wires(total of 4) going to each solenoid of the assembly, those are the wires and solenoids you need to check.

You can actually watch the solenoid(s), you'll see how the solenoid activates and engages the slide bar to shift from wash to spin, operation, from that vantage point, just don't reach inside, while it's operating. :) :) :)
