those the selenoid cause for the motor not to spin? i got a problem with the ice maker in my whirlpool ed25pqxfw02 it doesnt dispense ice the auger wont spin :(

Remove the ice container and the auger motor bracket. Tape in the door light switch. Push and hold the ice cube lever on the dispenser and check for 120 VAC at the auger motor terminals and the solenoid terminals for both cubed and crushed ice options. Post the results. i follow instructions i tape the door light switch test the auger motor for 120vac and the selenoid i didnt get no vac at all but the light turn on just fine

how do i remove the overlay front cover ?

The overlay is self adhesive. You have to be very careful not to damage it because the white overlay is no longer available. Only almond one is still available. - The overlay Part number: AP3046851
