Just thought I'd let you all know. I called this number (after quite a bit of runaround) 800 386 1215. It's the hotline for this known "klick" issue.
They are sending me Fedex free, a new control board. I purchased my fridge in Nov. 2005.
Hope this helps some of you.

I would like to thank both of your for your informationr regarding the clicking noise coming from the back of my GE bottom freezer/refrigerator. I called the 800 number Syz posted and will receive my new mother board tomorrow. At first customer care put in the wrong model # and once she got the right one in it showed the "special program". WOuld have been shopping for a new fridge today had I not seen your posts (fridge is only 2 years old).
Thanks again!!

I too have the imfamous clicking noise resonating from one of the black relays on the main board. I called the phone number listed in Photovan's post and the helpful representative offered to fedex me a new board for free as well. I just had to give her my fridge model, serial number, and the main board part number. I purchased my fridge in October of 2005. I'm very happy that I came to this forum. That easy phone call saved me $110+

Okay, I have the click on a GE Profile fridge over freezer.
I called the number and they said they would send someone out to look at it for $99.00.
I told them that I have "the click" it is the main board and I need a replacement.
She said no.
Now what?

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?
Did you verify that the click comes from the control board?
Gene.

my ge frig was making clicking noises, and then the water, ice, and light in my door quit working. When you push one of those buttons, you will hear a clicking noise in the back of the frig in the control panel. Do I need a new main control panel? If so which one?
Model# gss25sgrfss
Serial# dh229163
