Oven (GE Profile Double Oven Model #JTP56W0D1WW)had not used for 10 days and it developed an F7 error code that does not allow any of the keypad to be used. Clock still works fine. I have tried hitting Clear/Off key and powering down the oven but code comes back.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Thanks
aj

aj,

The problem with your oven caused by one or more stuck pads on the control panel.

- The part number for the control panel (white) is AP3160621

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE oven Model JTP56WD1WW

Jane,

The "F3" error code means the oven temperature sensor (#14 on the break down diagram) is "open".

Locate the sensor plug at the control board and measure the sensor resistance. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the reading is wrong then you have to pull the range, remove the rear cover and measure the sensor resistance at the sensor plug.

If the reading is wrong - replace the oven temperature sensor.

If the reading is correct - check the wire harness.

If the sensor resistance at the control board is correct then check the plug and if there is nothing wrong - the control board has to be replaced.

- The part number for the oven temperature sensor is AP2831584

The control board (aka clock) is no longer available.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Thermador range Model GSC30CVWC

My stove continuously flashes F10 as the oven heats up. Sears repair said it was a bad display. I personnally didn't think this was right but they are supposed to be the experts. I cannot find the error codes for my model of stove 790.36679400. I beleive it is a run away temp. Because after the stove is off the code will continue to appear. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated.

I think this question was answered already, but does F2 mean a runaway temperature sensed for a Kenmore Classic Grille? I would give the model number or appliance number but I can't seem to find it, it is very old however looks like mid 70's decor.

todmngd,

If the "F10" appears while the range is in "time of the day" mode then the problem is a bad EOC.

If it appears in the "cook" mode then the oven temperature sensor has to be checked first. It could be a bad wire harness and/or sensor plug.

- The part number for the EOC is AP3790798

- The part number for the oven sensor is AP3363354

aulfgar,

You are right, "F2" error code on older models means "runaway temperature".
