We got this oven off of Freecycle. The previous owner had the same problem we are now having. However, I plugged it in and had no problems for 6 weeks. Then all the sudden...

The first time the oven was being used then just kept getting hotter and hotter and would not shut off. I had to throw the breaker.

Now, every time I even turn on the breaker the oven comes on. I don't touch a button. Just as soon as it has power it starts heating up. Eventually it shows the error codes E2 F3. I did some research online and replaced the oven sensor, but that didn't work. Any ideas?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL RF386PXGQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet

Sounds like one of the control relay's contacts are welded together so that that element is always on.

Can you tell me the specific part number that I need? And is this repair easy enough for a novice?

The contro1 board is Item 12 in Section 2 of the parts.

This should help you with replacing it
https://secured.whirlpoo...617041/$FILE/4321893.pdf

I would check that the oven element is heating fully.
Not just a section which could be an indication of a bad element.

Unplug the unit and check the board by the look of it the relays are open.
So if the fault is that the contacts have welded themselves together you should be able to see that.
If they are not too bad you may be able to open them and then clean them with some fine emery cloth.
