My Whirlpool Quiet Wash dishwasher is not draining. I cleaned the drain hose and also checked the drain check valve and it was still not draining. I then removed the connector to the motor and checked the resistance on each pin of the motor. I took readings of 12, 9 & 6 ohms so I suspect I have a bad motor. Any help on this would be appreciated.

SAME exact problem with my GE Profile. I went through the same troubleshooting as you- ?? It seems to run fine otherwise.

I took the motor out and everything in the tub, cleaned all parts thoroughly and is still not draining... has to be the motor. It's probably $150 motor and a 10 yr. old washer vs. a new one for $400. Probably go new unless the motor is under $100.

The motor for my Whirpool is a complete pump and motor assembly and is $226. Time for a new dishwasher. Good luck with your trouble-shooting.
