Hello,
My washing machine will not drain during the spin cycle. I washed some bathroom mats and when I went to place them in the dryer there was water still in the tub and the machine was humming. I took the wet rugs out and checked the pump. There was nothing blocking the pump. The underside of the mats were still in tack so I am not sure what the issue is.
Thanks for any help,
Artnlp

Could this be a lid switch issue? The washer spins but will not drain. If so how do you check the switch to confirm?

This is not a lid switch problem. Is it the pump that is humming when it should be draining? If you have power to the pump then either the pump is bad or there is blockage somewhere in the drain hoses or possibly the exit hole at the bottom of the tub is blocked. If the pump appears to be running ok but won't pump water, you need to remove the drain hoses and look for a blockage. You can put the machine in service mode as per the tech sheet and set it to just operate the pump alone.

Thanks Eric for the response. Yes the pump makes a humming sound when its should be draining. I went into service mode and the pump just hums. I checked both hoses and didn't see anything. I can try the hose from the tub again.
