Put a new light fixture in our laundry room today and turned the breaker off in the process. Afterwards the wife wanted to run a load through the washer. Now all of the sudden the spin, and agitate will not function. The LED on the motor blinks on for 1 second an off for 1 second. I did the reset by unplugging it, waiting 2 min, and open close the door 6 times, and still no spin or agitate. Light still blinked on/off 1 sec each, also blinked the same wen put in spin cycle. I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Any help would be great, Thanks.

Do you have fault display light? If not, do you know how to turn selector knob in order to manually get codes! May need to be calibrated again once power was shut off. Let me know about the display & manual code selection & if you need them I'll give them to you. I have Whirlpool model WRW5550XW0 without display light so had to bring mine up manually. Mine wouldn't spin or agitate!

I figured out how to put it in field service mode, but not sure what to do once it is in the service mode.

In field service mode, place it in spin test. On the rightmost connector of the motor inverter board, check DC voltage between the violet wire and red wire, should be 0 volts, violet and yellow 0 volts, violet and blue 12 volts, violet and black 12 volts. If your not getting the correct voltages, the control board behind the user control panel is faulty.

I am getting no reading through any of them. In service mode while in the spin position it just drains.

The drain pump should not be operating while in service mode spin test. When you first go into service mode, rotate the selector 9 clicks clockwise to get to spin test. Then check the voltages.

Ok, according to my data, the 4th click should be hot water, 5th-cold water, 6th-slow agitate, 7th-fast agitate, 8th-pump, 9th-spin. It may be that the drain pump remains on during spin test, I don't remember. Sounds like you have a faulty control board. If you get a board from APP, you can return it if it doesn't work. You must transfer the model select plug from the old board to the new one before installing. It's the plug on the board that has one or two jumper wires on it.
