My GE washer will not agitate, or spin and the tub or basket is about 2" off center

Take off the front panel and check the straps and the support rods.

Then check for a flashing light on the motor. This is how this model generates error codes. Here is a link to how to interpret them if it does. First thing to do is a reset, sometimes that is all that is needed.
