Water is not going into the ice maker. I have determined that the inlet water valve is working. Should I replace the whole ice maker or just the ice maker control module?

I have fixed this a number of times on our ice maker (Maytag). Every time it was that the water inlet was frozen. I defrosted the freezer and used a hair dryer to add the needed heat (but not too much) to the inlet pipe in the freezer going to the ice maker. A big 1/2" diameter cylinder of ice would eventually fall out. I added a piece of pool noodle with a hole through it to help insulate the tube to the ice maker (about 4" long in my case). Helpped a bit, but would do it again over time. Generally once a year I had to do this.
Hope this helps.

Go in the back and temporarily swap the water solenoid connectors, then press the water dispenser lever for 6 to 9 seconds, icemaker mold should fill up, if not, you have a frozen water line. If so, check the freezer temperature, probably too low, should be between zero and 5 degrees.
