Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/2/2008(UTC) Posts: 7		My oven wont light. Everything seems to be working except the igniter wont "fire". I replaced the igniter with no change resulting. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/10/2012(UTC) Posts: 1		I had the same problem with my MAYTAG CWG3100AAS, I also changed a weak igniter. still no fire, then I changed the gas valve that is connected to the igniter, and walla, got fire...:) Its now working great. Good luck. check for continuity from the gas valve if u can, but they do go bad...

Can you test from the wire that comes from the control with one meter lead and the other to any metal surface (ground) for 120 VAC when the oven is set to bake, please?
