whirlpool washer has noisy spin cycle after being flooded in 10 inches of water and want to fix myself but not sure what parts might be causing the deafening noise while in spin.

Hard to say, could be a bearing, and the cost of a repair may not be worth it, particularly given that you may have other water damage that will make itself known later on.
I would recommend replacing the machine, and you should check with your insurance company to see if the damage is covered.
