I have a GE GLWN2800D1WS washer with agitator that has a noisy spin cycle. It sounds like something grinding when it spins. I can also spin the tub by hand and hear the same noise. I think it's the shaft and tube assembly because I just cannot fathom how a bushing would make that kind of noise. Regardless, I'm thinking to replace the shaft and tube assembly and, while I'm in there, the tub bearing, and tub bearing split ring.

Looking at the S/N, I'm pretty sure my washer was manufactured in September 2014 (SDxxxxxxx). Considering the age and I've had no other repairs on this washer, is there anything else I should replace while I've got it broken down?

Thanks...

Did you get an answer? I also was wondering whether I should even bother with the tub bearing.
