Good evening,

It has been a couple months since I noticed my refrigerator leaking. A repairman came to my house to fix this problem and it worked but the leak continued after the usual 2 weeks. Now, at the same time frame, I have to go out of my way to keep fixing it so it wont leak. I first have to remove the 2 screws and take out the back cover in the freezer. After this, I have to remove the accumulating ice on the thin silver platform. Then, pour hot water through the hole im assuming for the ice in there to melt as well. Without this being done I would have floods inside my fridge ruining some food. The repairman just informed me to get a new refrigerator because there was no way to fix this issue. I do not want to buy a new one because this one is in very good condition except this flaw. Any comments or suggestions will be a great help. Please email me back at Egonzalez90@aol.com. Thank you for your time.

Hi Cecilia,

Pull the reefrigerator out of the wall. Remove the cover on the bottom, locate the end of the drain hose and make sure it's clean and open. Blow some air through the drain hose.

I would use a turkey baster and force boiling water down the drain to completely flush out the drain.
Also, take a piece of 12 gauge copper wire, wrap one end around the defrost heater and stick 2 inches of it down the drain.
