My refrigerator is a side-by-side. My ice maker is no longer filling up with water to make ice. Water is flowing but seems to be dumping inside the freezer where some is freezing but most is running onto the floor. Prior to this, the refrigerator had been making some moaning/grinding noises for several months. Initially I thought that the water valve may have developed a crack. Based on a post that I read on this site the problem may be ice in the internal parts. A contributing factor may be that my water line to the freezer is attached to my undersink water filter system. This system automatically shut off when the filter needed to be changed. I noticed the water on the floor several days after replacing the filters and the flow of water.
Thanks:cool:

Check the fill tube where the water runs into the ice mold. It may be stopped up with ice. It will come out if you twist and pull. The blockage may be diverting the water. A leaky water inlet valve will cause the ice blockage.
