I have an LG French Door refrigerator with an icemaker in the left door. Recently we have noticed that the ice would form all around the door to the icemaker and the ice in the bucket would be a big block and stuck together. We called a repairman and he told us that the icemaker was dripping ice into the bucket and causing the ice to form everywhere. I replaced the icemaker and the same thing is happening. In the attached picture you can see where the ice is forming. I believe that there is a leak somewhere in the tub that feeds the icemaker. Could this be possible? Or am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim jimdeprado attached the following image(s):

This was posted 9 years ago, bet Jim is still waiting for some help. LG service is unbelievably bad. I had the same problem and after talking to a LG service company they said lower my water pressure? My refrigerator is 8-10 years old and just developed the problem. The service guy never offered to come out and see what my problem is, useless.
The real problem is that the ice tray water supply shut off doesn’t work, very simple and similar to a automatic furnace humidifier. Fill the evap tray shutoff stops and doesn’t open until the water level drops to where the shutoff turns on to refil the tray.
