Refrig ice maker works fine but won't dispense the ice it makes. There are electronic sounds which makes you think it's trying, but it's just not doing it. The big curly auger arm in ice bin turns freely. Ice dispensing chute is not clogged or jammed in any way. I've taken ice hopper out to see if the auger drive coupling it the back can be manually turned, and it can be.

All that said, this problem only started in the last several months (fridge is only a 14 months old) and doesn't happen each and every time I call for ice.

I called Whirlpool and basically got no where. Anyone have an clue?? Many thanks.
