Hi,
Oven just started staying hot....noticed it yesterday. No lights indicate that it is on, knob is turned off. Any ideas? Hoping I won't have to buy a new one.....well, ok, a new one would be nice, but don't want to spend the money if I don't have to.....:)

Sounds like either the broil or bake relay contacts are welded together. I believe they are on the control\time board Also may be that a wire is shorting to the frame, will have to open it up and check for this. Remember to unplug the unit, it is 240 volts so is very dangerous. Here is the control board, see the note. Part Details - GE To8 control, part number: WB50T10044 |
