Jenn-Air electric wall oven, model w27400w, would not turn off after completing a bake cycle. Condition was noticed due to fan running. Oven would not respond to Cancel/Off. No fault codes were displayed, only time. Turned power off and let oven cool down. Turned power on and oven started heating. Reset time and again did not respond to Cancel/Off. Turned power off when oven reached approx. 450 degrees measured via external thermometer. Was advised by repairman that problem was with relay board or oven temp sensor. Temp sensor indicated 1095 ohms at room temp which appears to be within mfg specs. When heat gun was directed at sensor, resistance increased. Relay board was replaced, and original condition returned, oven start heating again, did not respond to Cancel/Off. Any suggestions??

The component you describe sounds more like the piezo/buzzer. Relays are usually rectangular in shape. Be advised that most sellers of electric/electronic components will not allow returns, after they have been installed. Although it is possible for a control board to be defective out of the box, further diagnosis may be needed; especially in view that this process is done over distance. We can offer hints that can direct your eforts. Our best diagnoses depend on the accuracy of your descriptions of the problem and symptoms. That's why we ask so many questions.

Understand the limitations on the advice and I really appreciate the effort.
Further to my problem, the only rectangular objects I see are on the relay board. The 2 larger ones have "contact 30A/250V" marked on them. These I assume control the heating elements. Before I purchase a control board, are their any other basic tests I can perform? As you can see, if I buy a control board and don't get credit for the relay board, I'm approaching the cost of a new unit.
