Washer is leaking from under the tub afterit starts its wash cycle, not leaking while tub is filling with water only after wash or rinse cycle begins

That sounds like the tub seals, you can see the breakdown on the machine here Model MAV7600AWW. Go to page 7 (tub). Raise the top panel & remove the front panel and run a wash cycle to see where iexactly it is leaking from. Nat

It seems to be leaking from just under the tub where the transmission connects to the aggitator. What would need to be replaced? Are there and instruction manuels to explain how to make the repairs? are there any special tools required for these repairs? Is it in your opinion worth repairing or should I look at replacing the washer?

A lot of parts come with the instructions, don't remember if the seals do or not. It is repairable just time consuming and can be a pain in the ***. It's worth repairing and it doesn't require any special tools, sometimes a extra set of hands are nice! Look at the breakdown and get all the seals inthe area. Nat
