Hey guys new to the forums,my aunt currently has a GE GTWN4250D0ws..It has been leaking for about 1 month its about 1 year old i belive, i have traced the leak down and i am having problems finding out what seal it is..Ok so i dried it all out today and looked at the Tub shaft, the shaft that the tub is hooked on to,I looked below the drive pully where the Nut is that hold the pulley on and it is leaking from there..dripping fast, from the very bottom of the shaft..i dont belive it is the tub seal because it is not leaking directly under the tub where the tub and shaft meet..inless there are holes in the shaft where the seal is..its like it is leaking from inside the shaft..i have put my hand around the upper part of the shaft and it is not wet..just leaks at the very bottom of the shaft where the nut is...any help or ideas would be greatful thanks!@

The best way to diagnose a leak is to operate the machine with the front panel off. It sounds like your center seal is the problem, and if that is the case water may have entered the transmission in which case replacement would be called for.
