The ice on the freezer floor means the drain under the evaporator in the freezer is clogged and/or frozen.
Remove the rear panel in the freezer and defrost the drain, using a hair dryer. Run hot water through the drain to make sure it's open. A turkey baster might help. Pool the refrigerator out of the wall and make sure the other end of the drain is open as well. It is a good time to clean the condenser.
Wait about 24 hours after it's done and measure the temperature in both compartments. Post the results.
Gene.

Glen, you nailed it.
somehow the little tin tray that catches the run off water got bent, instead of the water running through the down spout a good part of it was running down the side collecting at the bottom of the freezer.
The down spout that runs to the collection tray was clogged as well.
I dragged my little compressor in and blew everything out. I took your advice and gave it the turkey baster test. everything over the last 24hours seems to be in order.
I have the freezer on 1. the lowest setting and it seems to me like its too cold??? I don't have a thermometer to read the temp.
Thanks for the assistance, i'm sure you saved me the service call. :)

You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
Any ice cream in the freezer is a good temperature indicator. If it's not too hard or too soft, the temperature is fine.

I have the same issue. When you say the evaporator coil, where do I find it and also, where do I find the defroster? What is turkey baster? Thanks Originally Posted by: gorden Glen, you nailed it.
