I need some advice on this Marvel beer dispenser (kegerator) of mine. Altough fairly new, on my 4th keg the temp. could no longer be controlled. I froze a keg then bought another and the cooler wouldn't come on unless you giggled the cold contol knob and then only for 5 minutes at a time, or I would unplug the unit and then it would come on when I plugged it in. I I finally sparked the cold control knob a big flash and now nothing happens except I do get a hum. If I replace the thermostat mechanism, looks like about $170 do you think this will solve my whole problem or do you think it is in the compressor? Any help idea etc, would be appreciated.
Thanks,Thirsty

Without seeing a picture of your model I can only suggest trying to access and remove the temp control (with unit unplugged)... If it's not burned up see if you cipher any numbers off the control and call APPros for a cheaper replacement... You described a loose wire connection or faulty temp control as the sympton which eventually shorted and burned the circuit open...

My kegerator is made by Haier 2004 when I plug it in it makes a busing noise for a few seconds before it click s off sounds like the compressor not kicking in
