Just replaced new clutch and it will spin but very slow until it stops any idea what stopping it? this also does this with the pump off.

I must imagine that it agitates at the proper speed. When you had the trany and clutch off, did you check to see if the brake was releasing properly? If so could you spin the tub without resistance by hand using the brake release?

this is what i think i might know how to check it but i just want to be sure pull transmission out and see if tub spins freely

yes pull trany out spin tub using plastic brake release
