PLEASE HELP !!!

I have a side by side GE fridge with the water and ice maker.
I just moved into my new house and I took the ice drawer out to clean in and when I put the drawer back in it no longer dispenses ice....UGH!!!

I think it is the drive mechanism. It makes ice and release water but when I try to get ice I hear a humming noise. I have tried to turn the drive mechanism by hand and it will not turn. I was going to take that box apart and see about getting a new motor but I thought I would ask to see if any one could help me.

I think I may need to replace the Motor crusher disp

Part Number: AP4337288
made by GE

Let me know if you can help thank you!!!!

If the motor won't turn the augur, can you turn it when you have the ice bin out or is it locked up in the crusher. With the bin out you can see the drive mechanism. Does it turn without the bin in. Here is the diagram of your ice dispenser. diagram 8. Replacement parts for GE GSS25QFMCBB | AppliancePartsPros.com

i have tried to move the driver mechanism and it will not turn by hand. i also tried hold the button so it is as if the door is closed and I pressed the cup to see if the driver mechanism turned and it still did not. I am guessing that I need to replace the driver mechanism. I wonder if I will be able to do that myself? what do you think?

Will the augur turn by hand when it's not engaged to the drive.

Yes, you should be able to replace it. It may come with some directions and you can use the diagram.

I own a GE GSS25WSTA side by side. I have a similar problem. No ice dispenses but I can turn the the drive by hand that is connected to the auger. When I attempt to dispense ice I can hear the chute open but no ice comes out. Also for crushes ice I can hear a relay click but no ice. Any ideas. I'm ready to replace Motor crusher dispenser p/n AP4337288. Water dispenses fine.
