Have aKenmore Elite with ice maker which will not fill. Have checked the solinoid and it is OK. This model has the electric eye system for ice level control. I suspect it the send and receive boards but would like to check first before just replacing part. There is some kind of test with the LED but dont know codes. Where can I find these. Are there any other thingd beside the boards that would prevent filling. No freezing tube problem for sure as unit is off for days

I am having the same problem exept I don't think it is the sender and receiver boards on mine. It might possibly be that since my water comes from a well and has minerals in it, that the sensor that sends the water inlet solenoid a signal to send water to the ice maker unit is blocked by the mineral deposits. anyway try this site to download the repair manual for Kenmore side by side icemakers which you apparently have. The manual gives you the flash codes that you are looking for. http://appliancejunk.com...=downloads;sa=view;id=43

Thanks for the info re manual. For sure it is not the water but after checking there is no LED light at all. It does not blink at all. Does this mean send/receive unit is bad?
