Hi,
I have been trying to troubleshoot the issues with out icemaker for quite a while now and am hoping somebody here could help me get this fixed.
The icemaker simply does not fill with water. There is water coming from the water dispenser, not problem. Here is what I have done so far to troubleshoot: 1) turned off device to melt any potential blockage in feed tube to ice maker 2) Swapped contacts on dual solenoid water valve between water dispenser and ice maker supply. I had to make a little adapter cable, since the contacts are a different size. When I push the water dispenser paddle in the door, the ice maker now fills with water, so there is no problem with the solenoid valve or the tube to the ice maker 3) Found instructions on how to run a diagnostic test on the fridge for an Arctica/Profile/GE side by side. The instructions seem to also work with this fridge. Ran all self tests * Test 02 - Temperature control panel to main control board communication - Passed * Test 03 - Temperature control panel to dispenser board communication - Failed * Test 04 Dispenser board to main control board communication - Passed The above diagnostics leads me to believe that the each of the three components seems to be OK, but that there may be something wrong with the connection between the temperature control panel and dispenser board.
Can anybody tell me what to do next, where can I find any of the connectors. I see one connector just below the ice maker, are there others that I should try to look at?
Your help is very much appreciated.
Andreas
